Sleep Associations

Sleep associations are what you’re little one relies on to fall asleep and stay asleep. If you’re little one has learnt to rely on you to fall off to sleep such as feeding, rocking, holding or replacing their dummy then once they wake at the end of their sleep cycle they will often need the same association to go back to sleep.

To help you’re little one to independently fall asleep and resettle back to sleep the Key is moving away from these associations and creating positive ones. Positive sleep association include playing white noise, swaddling or a sleeping bag, a lovey and a pre sleep ritual.
